Super food for the health conscience

Super foods that can help lower Blood pressure, reduce cholesterol and reduce inflammation:  

Raw almonds. Eating a handful of raw almonds has been evidenced in a study for helping lower blood pressure. A key component of the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension with your diet, (also known as DASH).

Raw almonds are monounsaturate rich which is the good fat and scientifically proven to help lower blood cholesterol levels arterial inflammation, and ultimately lower blood pressure.

Being one of the better nuts to eat, they are packed with good protein (20 are equivalent just 6gms of good fat if you needed to know! and if soaked overnight for 12 hours makes them easier for assimilating their goodness ) Almonds are helpful in promoting weight loss and can be  supportive for  helping  keep circulation system healthy. Eaten with other blood pressure-lowering nuts like walnuts, almonds are believed to bea  powerful cardiovascular super food available.

Coconut water.  Rich in potassium, electrolytes, and other important nutrients and is getting lots of attention.  Now evidenced  to significantly lowers blood pressure levels in most people that drink it.

A recent study published in the West Indian Medical Journal found drinking coconut water helped 71 percent of participants achieve a significant reduction in systolic pressure, and 29 percent of participants achieve a significant reduction in diastolic pressure.

Raw cacoa. Rich in flavonoids and other anti-inflammatory nutrients, raw cacao is another food-based weapon to be used against hypertension and has been researched to regulate stress hormone levels throughout the body, which plays a critical role in blood pressure regulation. Cacao flavonoids also help protect the body against stroke and heart disease, which are commonly linked to high blood pressure.

Turmeric. Known benefits to significantly decrease inflammation throughout the body, which is a primary cause of high cholesterol and even high blood pressure. By actively reducing inflammation, turmeric helps improve cardiovascular function and maintain healthy blood flow when taken with black pepper, the primary active ingredient of which is piperine. Turmeric loosens up blood vessels and clearing the build up that often leads to high blood pressure. Turmeric is also a natural blood thinner, which is another way  it aids in the fight against hypertension.

Garlic. A 2010 study out of Australia found that garlic was a powerful food-based medicine that naturally lowers cholesterol and reduces blood pressure.
