The New Moon on 5th January 2019 brings with it new beginnings and the importance of Self Care

Self Love – Heart Chakra : Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, and serenity.

Anahata is the heart chakra – it is our wellspring of love, warmth, compassion, and joy and is located in the centre of the chest at the heart. Anahata moves love through our lives creating a deep bond with other beings, a sense of caring and compassion, our feelings of self-love, altruism, generosity, kindness, and respect.

Anahata integrates and unifies us with our true self – bringing wholeness – and is the healing centre and in the most spiritual traditions recognises love as the ultimate healing force.

The energy of anahata allows us to recognize that we are part of something larger, that we are interconnected within an intricate web of relationships extending through life and the universe.

What will your new resolutions be focussed on ?

Re-stabalise the Yin and Yang- Female and Male Energy in order to restore and harmonise life

I have decided to build on my previous year of living a life that is free of the previous expectations I placed upon myself and to live each week with a goal of loving myself. and doing what makes me happy in life This has come in many forms. The food I eat, the life I want to be in, the people I hold dear and my gift of self care to myself which has been a remarkable journey as I do not often think of myself first .

I had been known by most of the people around me for taking on or doing too much. I was being told by those closest to me that this can result in spreading myself too thin and taking on too much in my own life, so in 2018 I decided to think hard about this and changed this. I reviewed what was important for me and continued to do those things, however I needed to re-evaluate those things that I was doing that gave me less joy and cut those things out of my life.

By doing this I became mindful of what I needed in my life and what changes I needed to make to be totally present for those who really needed me. It was hard, but the first thing I had to do was not put myself out there so quickly for anyone and begin to think of whether doing whatever was asked of me would serve me in the first instance and once I did this everything began to fall into place and change for me. As a result I felt clearer about what I might take on and what could wait. I keep a weekly journal to help me focus and review the journey and this was very helpful as I could reflect on my feelings and perceptions on what was taking place. It also reminded me to stay credible in my self care goals and the journey that helped me rediscover the pleasure of looking after myself again.

I re looked and evaluated what was important for me in my life in the first instance and decided to only take on things that would not stretch me and made me happy in doing what ever it was I was going to take on. This was hard to begin with but as I practiced this, it became easier. As an integrative therapist who offers a number of services for others, offers services to help bring balance to those who need my services I discovered new ways to stabilise them with my help and began to speak of ways they too could introduce self care and review who they were and wanted for themselves using many of the things I was doing to support them.

I ran a number of workshops that helped those who needed to learn or rediscover a renewed relationship with food. I offered cookery workshops to use food for healing.

I ran a few meditations course to help participants rediscover peace and helped them to learn ways of taking time to stop and listen to themselves and practice self care.

I made food that was seasonally nourishing for my family and helped to restore all of us and align us with a calmer environment.

I attended training for my own CPD and added some new exciting tools in readiness to stay relevant in my healing and other therapies for clients choosing to work with me.

I changed how my services could be found on my website and focussed on families and women’s health and wellbeing as I believe women are the centre of their family life and as long as they are well everything around them benefits from this. So if you take a look at my website you will see healing features clearer. I have been a Reiki and Seichem Practitioner for 22 years and healing is a fundamental part of my work with anyone who chooses to come to see me.

I took on Social Media and did more posts that showed who I am and the things that I enjoy in life to restore my balance and CHi. My website, Facebook and Instagram have been cultivated these and showing others the whole of me. https://www.instagram.com/nourishednaturally.uk/?hl=en
